Cran-Career Stations for K-2

At Cranberry Learning Inc., we believe career exploration can begin even in the earliest grades. This hands-on K–2 lesson introduces students to the many careers connected to one small berry, the cranberry. Through interactive stations, students discover that the cranberry industry includes farmers, harvesters, food scientists, and truck drivers. It is a playful and engaging way to help young learners see how diverse agriculture truly is and how many people work together to bring food from the field to their table.

By rotating through four career stations, students plant vines, harvest floating cranberries, sort cranberry foods, and “deliver” products to pretend destinations. Each activity is designed to spark curiosity while building understanding of how agriculture connects to science, transportation, and everyday life. Students begin to see that not everyone in agriculture works in the same way, and that there are many different paths within one industry. The goal is simple: spark curiosity, build awareness, and inspire students to go home excited to share the cranberry career they connected with most.
